When will Verizon open up FiOS to our area?

Hey Verizon! We need FiOS in Hackettstown, Independence and Allamuchy, NJ! We know that you've planned on coming here, and have probably already dug the lines needed to provide FiOS to our area! You're only 4 towns away, why did you stop?! We deserve better than cable company internet and TV services! We want Fiber Optics! Please heed our call to provide FiOS to these areas. We need your commitment!

If you can make it in NJ, you can make it anywhere

There are only two places where the cost of living are higher than in NJ. Those places are Hawaii, New York City and San Francisco, Ca. That being said, we live in a very high cost of living here in NJ, but we enjoy many things that others do not. We have low crime, great schools, quality of life, beaches, cities, casinos and many more things that make New Jersey great. To raise a family in this great state, a family has to make a good income, but we are all under the gun that way in this country. The middle class is shrinking fast, and the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. There's not much more to it than that. Sad as it is, my family and I are trying to make it as a middle class family, and so far, we have had some success in that regard.

An Edudemic

One of the great travesties of the modern student and child growing up is that there is a wealth of information at our fingertips, but a poverty of critical thinking about it. What's more, is that students, parents and educators alike are becoming increasingly short with attention spans, since notoriously short phrases and buzzwords circle places like twitter and buzzfeed where journalism has been reduced to a paragraph or less.
What will end up happening to our children if we don't get  grip on this? We'll end up having an elite class of critical thinkers that 'get it' and a class of people who just float along, never mastering anything but their iPhone Twitter posts, and the resulting aliteracy of the vast majority of the population. They will be literate, of course, having learned to read, but aliterate in terms of reading between the lines, having the attention span to read complex articles and books as well as not being able to think or write critically.
It's already happening. Be warned.
